BIE

BIE, which is the abbreviation for Bureau International des Expositions, is an intergovernmental organization created to supervise and ensure the application of Convention relating to International Exhibvitions and to regulate the World Expo.

According to the diplomatic convention, BIE was established in France in 1928 with its headquarter sited in Paris. Ferdinard Nagy is BIE's present president and Chinese former ambassador to France, Mr. Wu Jianmin has been the former president of BIE.

The Executive Committee of BIE is Secretariat, and Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales is the present secretary general of the Bureau International des Expositions.
