The Astana Expo 2017 China Pavilion exhibition plan was passed at the second session of the China Pavilion organizing committee in Beijing on Oct 28.

The second session of the China Pavilion organizing committee is held in Beijing on Oct 28.

Jiang Zengwei, director of the China Pavilion organizing committee and chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), said that the organizing committee has made progress with the preparations since its first session through cooperation between the member units.

Jiang urged the units to push forward high-quality construction, organize exchange activities and tell Chinese stories through the expo platform.

Li Fanrong, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, said China is among the world’s best in many energy fields, and the Astana Expo provides an opportunity to showcase China's energy development achievements and policies which will promote energy cooperation between China and Kazakhstan. The National Energy Administration will act in concert with CCPIT for the preparations, he added.

Representatives of member units and designated participating energy enterprises, including the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, China National Petroleum Corporation and China General Nuclear Power Corporation made presentations at the meeting.

Themed on “Future Energy, Green Silk Road”, the China Pavilion will showcase China’s new concepts and achievements on traditional energy transformation, new energy development, environmental protection and sustainable development in support of the Belt and Road Initiative and the "go global" campaigns of the local enterprises.

The China Pavilion will consist of the Preface Hall, China Energy Corridor, China Smart Energy Practice, Energy Dream Theater, Global Mission and Partners, and a Conclusion Hall, all using multimedia, movies and technical devices. Twenty-four provinces and cities, and more than 20 leading energy enterprises will take part in the expo.

With a theme of “Future Energy”, the expo will be held in Astana from June 10 to Sept 10. To date, 104 countries and 17 international organizations are committed, and more than 5 million visitors are expected.
